hi guys bad news im afraid as you all know by now we have been fighting to make essex a perminant track over the last few years we have been battling to tick all of the boxes for the local councils planning conditions. we have had a lot of help from the planning dept and the aplication was finaly put through buy the planning dept and the enviroment of health for approval but had to go to before a commitee. those commitee members were biased against this aplication and ill informed, one of the commitee members said she was sitting in her garden in hasting wood on tuesday and could hear the bikes making an aufull screatching noise as the bikes went round the track, not qute sure were she was but on tuesday it rained all day ive heard of singing in the rain but not sitting in the rain and we don.t open on tuesdays and didn't even go to the track as we can''t even work on it whilst its raining. but there was police skidpan testing at north weald on tuesday. we also had some guy from blunts farm speak against us that in my opinion had nothing to do with this application other than he tryed to set up a motocross track himself and was closed down at the time i thought it was a shame as it would have complemented essex in that it was a race track so riders would have practiced at essex on the sat and raced there on the sunday but having done a little checking in to the guy maybe it woulden't have been so good. but make your own mind up go to this site its the sort of thing films are made out of.
http://www.theydonbois-actiongroup.co.uk/page6.htm .. he also handed a letter to the chairman of the commitee from a member of the house of commons . also not quite up to the job as he said himself it was his first day in the chair and also admited that it was most iregular to accept a letter at this stage (but hey anything that will help stop this aplication a ) but still went ahead and read it out. we have someone looking in to who the mp was as this was in our opinion an improper use of his powers as we think it was done as a favour. there was lots of mistakes made in the meeting but one major one for us and shows up the very poor knowledge of this application by all concerned is that we have already had an aplication refused, and that was on noise and failing to do a flood test report in time but this means we cant be refused for any other reasons because they have already gone through, and the commitee in there wisdom sited noise and impact on the green belt so this should mean that now all we have to do is prove that all the experts that have spent a lot of time testing essex mx for noise, and that also includes the enviromentof health who did there own tests and have visited the site on a few occasions know more about there chosen proffession than the members of that very biased meeting. it was also mentioned at the meeting that the obvious lack of support on the night from local riders means there is no need for a track in north weald and we dont't care about people out of the area. there words, any way this does mean we have got to carry on fighting this and will we think cost at least another £40,000 in surveyors cost speacialists and solicitors costs, so unfortunatly after spending almost £100.000 so far we will not be in a position to keep our prices lower than all of the other tracks as we have so far, but will reduce the price back to what it was after this is all over, so the new price to ride essex mx will be £30 for members and will stay at £5 to become a member as most of you no we had every intention of keeping our price down to £25 for this year at least but this is to help keep another track from going down.

hi guys yes we will keep battling as long as we have the support of our customers,
we will keep going.
its been going on for two and a half years so far and we have answered every question ever asked by the planning dept and the environmental health dept, and still we we were refused. Even though planning put it through for approval.
but over the last two and a half years, every dept that has been involved with this application has made loads of mistakes, and especially at the last committee meeting, so our next step is to appeal against the enforcement order that planning now have to place on us. our next step is to take the case to a public inquiry, where it will be heard by professionals and we will be allowed to argue our case. Unfortunately this will cost us at least £40,000 and after two and a half years of battling we cant afford to continue without your help . And thats why we have to increase the cost of riding at Essex from £25 to £30, as have most of the practice trace in the UK. but after this application has been passed, and i am very confident that it will get passed this time, we have already had some positive help from some of our customers, and hope for more help especially from local riders, after only two riders and a girl Friend turned up at the committee meeting, (big thanks to those that did turn up it was much appreciated).
We will be starting all of our appeals and placing our intention to take this case to public appeal over the next few days, i understand that tony moto have offed to help if they can that would be great as they have had there problems also, so i will be trying to get in touch with them next week. Also so we will be very busy next week but we will also be making quite a lot of changes to some of the jumps.
i understand that family cost will rise dramatically so we have decided to do family concessions, so as to keep the cost down for family's and Essex will put the difference in the pot for the appeal.
So really the cost of riding Essex for the average rider will be the same as at any other track but for family's we will reduce your costs and these will be in place by Wednesday
can you think of any other track that puts in as much work to make your day as enjoyable as possible. we change the track on a regular basis far more than any other track in the UK. we grade the track twice daily morning and lunch time. we have more Marshall's than most tracks. we are as far as i know the only track that have Marshall's midweek.
And all of this whilst fighting to keep the track open. For the last two and a half years at a cost to me personally of just under £100,00.on top of that we had to buy two new diggers over the last year and replace a tractor at a massive cost
without your help this will be another track closed down by local authorities
